Almont is a family camp, we always encourage for kids to bring their parents to camp. Sadly, we do understand that work schedules and other things make it the parents of children (five and over) and teens ( up to seventeen) cannot make it. Because this is the case, Almont became and has maintained a license with the state of Michigan as a children’s sleep away camp. We are committed to fostering a save environment for all our campers, and especially the dorm age campers. In all most all areas, we far exceed the the state standards of training and safety.
Sponsor Program:
Rather than using traditional counselor methods, we have a sponsor program where all dorm age campers have an adult sponsor (maximum 3 campers to an adult).
Sadly, from time to time, things do go missing. We recommend dorm age campers to give all money and valuables to their sponsor for safe keeping.
Dorm Ages:
- 5-7: Little Dorm
- 8-12: Middle Dorm
- 13-17: Big Dorm
We require:
- Health forms
- Registration forms
- Sponsor Forms
All forms must submitted to our registrar before the dorm aged camper arrives.
